Takasaki is Gunma’s largest city, conveniently located in the centre of Honshu, and served by a number of expressways and shinkansen lines. Popular Takasaki tourist destinations include Shorinzan Daruma-ji temple, Kannonyama with its Byakui statue, and Mount Haruna with its nearby shrine.

“Nōfu” means farmer in Japanese, and this cafe is run by Shibazaki Farm. It prepares seasonal vegetables grown in the fields in front of the cafe alongside local farm goods. It also has a space selling local Gunma products.
Orionza is a cafe built on the site of an old movie theater. It offers coffee, sweets, and Southeast Asian cuisine. It has approximately 20 seats, creating a relaxing space. Live music events are often held in the evening. It also has a space for selling handmade goods. It is a 15-minute walk from Takasaki Station.
KARASUGAWA CAFE is located in a spacious playground, renovated from a golf course. It serves sandwithes, light meal, drinks and sweets. It is a nice place for a family.
The facility introduces the value and attractiveness of Tomioka Silk Mill as a World Heritage site in an easy-to-understand manner, and in cooperation with universities and the private sector, conducts research on World Heritage sites, the silk industry, and the history and culture related to silk, and disseminates comprehensive information.

Kannonzuka Archaeological Museum not only exhibits 300 pieces of valuable cultural heritage discovered in a yokoana-shiki stone chamber (the largest in eastern Japan) of the nearby Kannonzuka Tumulus, a designated national historic site, but also displays archaeological materials excavated from other sites in the city.
CARO offers a wide range of italian dishes and has won many prizes at the “King of Pasta” competition in Takasaki City. It is an 8-minute walk from Takasaki Station.
The name of the cafe “NIHONICHI” means Japan No. 1. This popular, long-running cafe serves an extensive menu of shaved ice. It takes 17 minutes by foot from Takasaki Station.
